which went off course and landed in Syria The students launched the 6-foot rocket northeast of Haifa Sunday as part of their scientific studies The first stage of the 2-part rocket separated properly as it soared to 15 miles but the second stage veered off across the tense Israeli-Syrian border It was supposed to land by parachute but the students were not able to tell whether this operated properly Attached to the rocket was an aluminum label stating that if it was returned to the students the finder would be rewarded we are not hopeful that the Syrians will send it a spokesman said 816
